Every Monday morning, the biggest market in the region is spread all over the town, and on Thursday afternoons, there is a farmers’ market with quality local and seasonal products.


The town of the four queens

In XIIth and XIIIth centuries Raymond Bérenger V, count of Forcalquier, married his four daughters to kings: the eldest, Marguerite, married Louis IX, the king of France (saint Louis); the second, Éléonore, married Henry III, king of England, the third, Sancie, was married to the brother of Henry III, Richard of Cornwall (King of the Romans) and Béatrice married Charles d’Anjou, the brother of Saint Louis King of Naples and Sicily).
